Hi Jos;
Today you will be in my prayers as always. But I will pray that the Lord gives you the peace in your soul to get through the next week. I love this picture of you with your two "angels". Such pure delight on your face and I always think that is how God loves us, just pure unconditional, I could die happy now love. I know I'm "Gushy with emotions" but that is how much the Lord means to me. It's nice to share him with Jesus Pals. Dodie

Fr.Jos;

Tonight's sermonette during Evening Prayer really struck a chord in my heart. As the Good Lord carries me forth on this journey of Love and Discovery, I feel that there really is excitement waiting on the "other side." My prayer is to be excited on This side of life, also, so that others can "feel the love", sing the song, and spread the Word. Be safe and get some more rest. You have been going "ninety to nothing" since India. Also, please knows that I am keeping your mom and dad in my prayers. I feel really lucky to have my momma with me during this "economic" recovery. See you soon. This Friday is the DaVinci Code at Movie night. Great movie....Dodie

Sand castles we build and destroy!

A man who was walking across a bridge and came upon another man standing right on the edge, about to plunge to his death. The first man shouted "Stop! Are you a Christian?" "Yes, as a matter of fact I am." "Well so am I. Are you Catholic or Protestant?" "I’m Protestant," "Well so am I. Are you Episcopal or Baptist?" "I’m Episcopal." "Wow… I am too. Are you a United Episcopal church of America or The Episcopal Church? "I’m in The Episcopal Church," "Me too, that’s amazing! Do you use 1949 or 1979… Continue

What are you talking about? being important?

Sometimes during the service I hear some people talk. It may be a comment about something or the a response to something I said during my sermon or the confusion I create from time to time. Then I have a temptation to ask "what are you talking about there by the way?". Can you imagine the embarrassment it would cause to the person who was talking during the service?

Was Jesus trying to embarrass the disciples asking this question to them as they were on their way somewhere?

Many times when Jes… Continue

Happiness is a byproduct! what do you think?

Mark 8:27-38

Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that I am?" And they answered him, "John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets." He asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered him, "You are the Messiah." And he sternly ordered them not to tell anyone about him.

Then he began to teach them that the Son of Man must undergo great suffering, and be

Crumbs are plenty for all to eat!

Mark 7:24-37

7:24 From there he set out and went away to the region of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know he was there. Yet he could not escape notice, 7:25 but a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately heard about him, and she came and bowed down at his feet. 7:26 Now the woman was a Gentile, of Syrophoenician origin. She begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 7:27 He said to her, "Let the children be fed first, for it is not fair t… Continue
