Sand castles we build and destroy!

A man who was walking across a bridge and came upon another man standing right on the edge, about to plunge to his death. The first man shouted "Stop! Are you a Christian?" "Yes, as a matter of fact I am." "Well so am I. Are you Catholic or Protestant?" "I’m Protestant," "Well so am I. Are you Episcopal or Baptist?" "I’m Episcopal." "Wow… I am too. Are you a United Episcopal church of America or The Episcopal Church? "I’m in The Episcopal Church," "Me too, that’s amazing! Do you use 1949 or 1979… Continue

What are you talking about? being important?

Sometimes during the service I hear some people talk. It may be a comment about something or the a response to something I said during my sermon or the confusion I create from time to time. Then I have a temptation to ask "what are you talking about there by the way?". Can you imagine the embarrassment it would cause to the person who was talking during the service?

Mark 8:27-38

And he sternly ordered them not to tell anyone about him.

Then he began to teach them that the Son of Man must undergo great suffering, and be

Jesus loved Peter the Rock who denied Him.
Jesus welcomed Judas to his table to dine with him.
Jesus invited Zacheus the sinner and tax collector and ate with him and forgave him.
Jesus invited Matthew the tax collector to be his disciple.
Jesus invited Thomas the doubter to touch His side and believe.
Jesus invited John who ran naked away from Jesus when he was caught in the garden to become the son of His own Mother Mary.
Jesus allowed the woman caught in adultery to wash his feet and anoint his head.
Jesus went to the house of the centurion, to raise his daughter.
Jesus sat with Simon who judged Him for His behavior of allowing the woman to wash His feet.
Jesus said to the thief that he can come with Him to paradise.
Jesus welcomed Children.
Jesus welcomed hypocrites and the scribes into his crowd.
Jesus allowed all the lame, the sick, the lonely, the lost, the poor, the needy, the sinner, the proud, the rich, and you name it all of them were in the crowd of five thousand men whom he fed besides women and children.

To them all Jesus said, welcome.

Can you welcome someone to experience this Jesus who loved and welcomed people of all kinds?
Can you find yourself among any one of them and need God?
If yes, then Join the group and welcome others to join. Let us stop the culture of death and judgment to give life to love and grace.

Christ is Caring enough to love you.
Let us be caring enough to be Christ like.
